Hey Folks,
Maybe you saw some of the photographs I posted of U. humboldtii seed germinating within a few hours, before mine very eyes! Twas spectacular!
I've got more seed, and I'd rather not let them go stale on my desk. But I'm too lazy to send them out to anyone who would like them.
But...Travis Wyman has offered to distribute these for me. If you want some, contact him at asplundii(at)gmail.com.
I'm recommending to Travis that he charge $3 per order, but I'll let him decide what he wants to do. After Travis deducts the cost of materials and also a beer (or suitable beverage of choice) for work hard done, he will donate any proceeds to the ICPS for the Splinter Hill Bog Campaign. (Probably about 4 or 5 bucks!)
There's no telling how long these fast-germinating seed will stay viable, but for $3, the risk is minimal. I'm not sure if he's shipping USA-only, or internationally.
Please work directly with Travis regarding details, and not me.
Cheers
Barry

Hey Folks,
I've heard that Travis has already shipped out seeds to those who wanted them.
The good news is that the plants here are continuing to produce seeds, so in a few weeks (or sooner? or later?) I'll have more to ship to Travis. Contact him with your requests, because you don't want to miss watching these little things pop!!!!
Barry

Thank You Barry & Travis. U. humboldtii seed arrived Saturday. My husband; (Craig Gardner, some of you may know him), & I have placed them in their new home of LFS/floating in water. Some of the seed had already germinated upon arrival.
Thanks Again, Mary

Hello Mary,
Glad to hear they arrived in good form.
To all who received these. I have a question for you. Yea or Nay on the shipping method? I ask because I have a possible alternative method for shipping but it would up the mass of the package and would almost guarantee that the seed will germinate in transit. Just want to evaluate the current method vs. a possible new one.
Cheers

Hello Travis, The shipping works great for me. I hope my mentioning that some of the seed germinated in transit did not come across as a complaint. They can germinate whenever they like. As long as they germinate I am thrilled. The seed was very protected in the plastic vial you sent them in. I was actually thinking about trying to find some this seed when Barry & yourself so graciously offered them. I like the fact that the flowers on U. humboldtii are so large. Mary

I just checked the source plants and see that they are producing many more fruit. If you want more seed, you'll have it! Just contact Travis.

On hand, no, there currently is not any available. However, Barry is just waiting for more seed pods to finish developing. As pods become mature he will send me the contents and I'll run another round of distribution. At this moment I am up to 8 or 9 requests for the second round (that includes you chelmuth ) When Barry send me the next batch we will announce it and I will contact all those who are on my waiting list. Cheers
