The best food for flytraps is flies, and like someone elses idea ( sorry i cant give you credit if i dont remember who) Put some dead minnows in a bog garden. Definately not in a pot. Bleh

I've never heard of a home-grown theft before, but a lot of times at a local garden store, i see people opening VFTS and tucking them inside their pockets, then i bet days later a little kid comes along and his mom buys it, imagine his dissapointment when he finds out there is none. This probably wont happen, though, because theyre sort of hidden. Also, good luck, I'd notify the police because i searched up the black ventricosa, and no hits. You had the worlds only, unfortunately, worth over $100

Later on today I will be getting a nepenthes, with the tendrils it is about 3 feet high!!!!!! Anyways, ill post pics either tonight or tommorrow.

You may know of the sarracenia they have at garden centers in the pond area with the tannish pot. Well I was wondering if you saw any different of those, right now i know of danas deliht, judith hindle, scarlette belle, and sometimes they have butterworts they call flytraps.

Wow, when I was eight, i did a fine terrarium. My dad said " You're over watering it!" and i just said that you needed to keep watering it. One smart third grader... Also, no offense about before. Then my drained the terrarium and all my plants died. So he got me a new flytrap next time we went out.

No, by the time i bought it it was done being polinated. But it was the only one flowering and only Dana's delights.
