It was a balmy 22C in the tunnel this morning and the November sunshine gave me the opportunity to shoot maybe the final frames of the year. S. leucophylla still looking good. The Ben's Bog monster I posted recently, now with more colour. S. alata Stone County. S. flava "Snapping Turtle Lid" Must be a hybrid. Especially as it is looking so good at this time of year. Probably some S. purpurea in the mix. S. minor var. okefenokeensisLooking their best just before they give up the ghost. A huge S. psittacina clone. Compare it to the plant at bottom left which is a rather more normal size. This plant needs no introduction. Oh, all right... S. x "Pink Thing" (S. rubra ssp. gulfensis x (S. x excellens)) x S. leucophyllaOne of Slack's best and this will probably still be looking good in January. A wonderful S. x moorei about to keel over. (S. leucophylla x (S. x mitchelliana)) x (S. x areolata)...and finally - A few studio shot's of another Ben's Bog plant that I was about to rip apart for divisions when I decided it was looking rather good.
