Greetings,
My LFS supplier stopped carrying new zealand LFS and switched over to Chilean sphagnum about 6 months ago. I recently potted up a bunch of newly aquired nepenthes in this stuff, and in two of the pots, I have found sarracenia seedlings (just putting up their first tiny pitcher).
All of my sarracenia are outdoors in my bog garden and I've never had any seed on the premises.
I'm wondering how the seed got into the moss to begin with, and if anyone ever had sarracenia sprout up from Chilean sphagnum and what species might it have been?

If seedlings are not somehow your own, that raises the question of whether the Sphagnum actually is Chilean.

You could have a point there. Guess I'll have to grow them out and see what they are.
