Say goodbye to 'Tarnok'! ;D Then again, it may just be a one-off. The flower has the normal complement of sepals, but I have counted at least eighteen petals. Ovaries and pistil are grossly distorted as in 'Tarnok' and similarly there is no sign of male organs.

I would have sworn that you weren't a fan of this kind of "freaks" Aidan. However, if it's stable I am sure there will be a lot of people wanting to get there green fingers on it.

Aidan,
Is the flower of a Sarracenia leucophylla? Have you any photographs of the pitchers?
Take care, Steven Stewart

Steve - The label says S. x areolata. It could be, although the flower is very red if it is. I'm waiting to see more pitchers.

If it continues to happen. Sometimes you get freaks. Like multiple traps on a VFT leaf.
