Christian, very dramatic photos. What do you do to get the black background? Do you move the whole plant, pot and all, to a special area where you photograph it?

It is most likely done in photoshop. Just use the magic wand tool.

Hi, the black backgorund is an usual T-Shirt and definitively not done in Photoshop! Just make sure, that the sun is not shining directly on the cloth (otherwise you will end up with a grey background, that shows the structure of the cloth). The pcitures are slightly edited though. Yes, i am moving plants when taking pictures Christian

Hi Bob,
I was sort of hoping that if people posted in the thread that there would be more interest. I can go and browse through many sites and select but it would be my selection not the selection of the contributor.
We would also like a cross section of a Sarracenia that would be able to be labeled by kids.

wow christian - you've put some serious effort into photographing and sharing you plants - thanks. I'm surprised your plants seem so far along - I thought it was cold in Germany - but your pictures make it look like mid-summer. Or do you start you plants in the greenhouse? Matt Bs

Hi,
the plants are grown in the greenhouse. My plants usually start to grow in mid february/beginning of march.
