You know, I'm getting that same effect from my generic Lowe's butterwort....really wish I could identify it, but anyways, the leaves hit the soil and now I have a clump. I think the insects I throw on the leaves get a slippy-slide experience on their way to the depths...

Nice little forest of ping flowers. Did you get these from seed, leaf pullings or have they just spread over the years?

The plants are from leaf cuttings plus some natural spread. P. 'Weser' is a cultivar and can not be reproduced by seed.

Here is a photo of one of the Pinguicula 'Weser' in my care: And here is a photo of one of the various plants commonly referred to as "Garden Center Weser", actually more reminiscent of the cultivar Pinguicula 'Sethos':
