And yes, I know they haven't colored up because I didn't have them in enough light I have moved them today and hope they color up soon. My poor babies.

What you're seeing is sooty mold. It grows on the excess nectar the plant produces. While somewhat unsightly, it doesn't really do anything to the plant, and can be wiped off with a wet paper towel or similar method.

Whew. So glad it was what I thought it was and not something scary! I was afraid it might be killing it lol. I love my babies

I think the mold that kills Sarracenia is usually found on the rhizome and not on the pitchers, so you would need to dig up the plant to really see it.

It did come off fairly easily using a paper towel dampened with RO water. Happy that it comes off because it's rather unsightly :/ I didn't want to mess with the inside of the pitchers and inner hoods because I was afraid it would remove the nectar and affect it's ability to trap food so I left that be on all but the one I was cleaning when this dawned on me. Now back to worrying about rather I can hack keeping my new regia alive lol. I've heard they are hard to keep and I've heard they are easy to keep but there is always grower error so I'm hoping it gets big and beautiful
