You don't understand, those Venus flytraps have not experienced the growth explosion yet. Also, this is a huge risk for fungal infections. If the guy had repotted and separated these, he could have had a population twice this size. Crowding like this impairs future growth, and increases disease risk. Most people would not shove a population a quarter of this size into one container.

And even Venus flytraps at the age he says should close faster than that. Venus flytraps can tolerate a lot, but this is far from ideal. Age has absolutely nothing to do with the speed the traps close. They actually look quite healthy to me! He's doing a fantastic job IMO!
