I know that these plants can take a long time to sprout, but, being the impatient creature that I am, I was wondering if anyone had any advice? I have already stratified these seeds and put them in a terrarium, which I let air out on occasion to help ward off and check for the ever present enemy of all CP: fungi. They have been in a properly warm, wet, and humid environment for about two weeks, with only one seed being disturbed to prevent an encroaching mold from capturing it. None of my seeds have sprouted yet, but I am not sure if I should be concerned yet.

Hello! In my experience, it's usually after about 3 weeks, though this was for some S. rubra (and related species), it might vary a bit between different species. I'd give it a little more time. As for mold, a sulphur spray does wonders and won't hurt the seedlings, it can really help.

Any household stuff that works? The mold is fuzzy, wispy, and white.

Your best bet is either a garden center, or buying online. Don't use household items on carnivorous plant or seeds, as it will probably kill them. Sulfur based fungicides or Physan are good options.

I know what fungicides work, but online shipping might take too long (that mold grows really fast, I am talking I look at a normal pot in the morning, and by the evening the evil fuzz has gotten too close for comfort to a seed). Thankfully, I found its source. Believe it or not the "master mold" was hiding under a sticker near the bottom of the pot. No more can th
