Search for "orange" in the CP Photofinder users.humboldt.edu/rziemer/Dionaea.htmlYou will find numerous references in the BCP Clones that have orange traps (including “Clone C 02 (BCP)”) as well as “Orange” and “Orange Rosette”.

Yeah, thanks Bob. I'd love to get myself a Dionea as close to orange as possible (it being my favorite color - luckily not blue!).
I know a grower in Singapore had a Triffid Park clone - I think it was 'Clayon's Red Sunset' - that was very near to orange.

I know a grower in Singapore had a Triffid Park clone - I think it was 'Clayon's Red Sunset' - that was very near to orange. There was something seriously wrong with it then. This is extracted from the cultivar description: "The color of this cultivar is a deeper, darker red than the other currently named red flytrap cultivars. It becomes almost black in the summer if exposed to full sunlight. " www.carnivorousplants.org/cpn/Species/v33n1p19_22.html#sunset

Hmm, I need to take a step back from my dissertation I think! When I read "Orange VFT" and visited the link Bob posted to look at the orange traps, I was expecting something more orange...the reason being when digesting plant matter in nitric acid, it turns orange, and I've been doing this with..you've guessed it...VFT's. I was expecting something akin to that...ish! If thats not a sign I need a holiday I don't know what is!
