It's starting to get cool here in Atlanta GA and I know that Flytraps go dormant at this time. I wanted to know should I leave mine outside like in the pic or bring it inside in a cool shaded basement? Attachments:

It should probably be fine outside where you are, but just in case, if the temps start to dip into the 20's F at any point, make sure to cover it from heavy frost, since it's in a pot.

I wouldn't worry too much... I live in Niagara Falls, Canada and I grow hundreds of VFT's outdoors year round. The only difference is that mine are planted in bog gardens.

Im with hcarlton, if the plants are in pots then protection will be needed in some form of mulch covering and plants cut down to soil line if your going to be experiencing any frost also snow is a good insulation if your plants are mulched. Plants in bog gardens can naturaly withstand colder temps being in the ground allready.

I live 100 miles NE of Atlanta and keep mine in the bog garden year round and they do fine, even when the ground freezes solid as it did twice last year. Maybe you should consider burying most of the pot in a protected sunny spot in your yard to protect it from any deep freezes, though. For those of you who don't live in this part of the country, snow is a rarely sticks around for more than a day, so little protection for our VFT's.
