okay so i went to home depot today and saw the garden lady throwing away some dead venus fly traps but i saw a hint of green in one so i took it out of the trash and brought it home the fly trap hasnt turned black but is shriveled up a little ( it looks like a 2day old piece of letuce from a hamburger)...i put it in some fresh peat and soaked in water...will it survive or is there anything i can do more to help it???

I can say with great confidence that it will either survive or die. VFTs often recover from being dried out if kept in moist soil and given adequate light. It will take a while, but consider it an experiment. Nothing to lose.
