Hey everyone i have a rubra pitcher plant. My plant just opend up i now have 2 pichers open. When should they start to feed on insects? this is my first time with carnivorous plants other then a fly trap...SO should i keep my door open tomight .lol

Personally, I usually do not go out of my way to feed my Sarracenias. They do a really good job of catching stuff on their own in the back yard. If I were to start feeding them I would probably just do so when they reach a convenient size to accept fruit flies (if small) or larger insects if bigger. The most important factor I think is getting them the light they need. Sarracenias like full sun. Also, never let the soil dry out, and make sure you use water very low in minerals such as RO or distilled water (avoid spring water and drinking water as they usually have added salt or other stuff added.
