Somehow, I managed to convince my other half that my cell phone camera was simply not good enough for taking pictures of my plants. (Not to mention, convincing her that taking pictures of my, and other peoples' plants, is necessary for my survival). I don't know how I changed her mind on that one but I just spent the last 2 hours photographing my plants. More pictures will come (especially when I get my website up and running), but for now- one of my personal favorite plants, U. vulgaris (notice the traps). By the way, no laughing! I am an amateur!! Ha ha!!! I just realized I named that file PINGvulgarisCRcropped.jpg! I'll upload the photos I took of my pings tomorrow. Now those are amazing!!! I am realizing that when you zoom in close with a nice macro lens, you learn things about your plants that you did not know before

I ended up going with a canon rebel T2I for the body and a compact 50mm macro lens. I figured that would be a good start.
