Hi,
I live in Michigan so winters are too cold for my VFTs outside. I plan on putting them in a cold garage along with my sarrs, and supplementing with artificial light. The problem is I don't know how much light they require during dormancy. Can someone help me out?

I lived in Michigan most of my life and have grown CPs for many years in that state. I always overwintered my plants in an unheated garage (attached to the house) and never supplied any light. They were in complete darkness from Nov to April with no losses. And this included my entire VFT collection. Just make sure they are completely dormant before moving them into darkness and keep them well groomed of any dead or dying foliage. Make sure they don’t dry out and they'll be just fine.

Most plants can't photosynthesise below 6C, so if it's dark it won't be a problem.
