Thanks. These are the plants that I have . I live in Rhode Island. Most of them are in my terrarium unless otherwise noted.
Nepenthes Ventricosa (growing beautiful) VFT-Red Dragon Nepenthes Ampullaria Pale Trumpet Sarracenia (outside) Yellow Pitcher Sarracenia (outside) Drosera Spatulata Nepenthes Distillatoria Sarracenia leucophylla - Titan (outside) Northern Pitcher Plant Sarracenia Pink Sundew Cephalotus

Temperate plants maybe no, but I'd say it is less than ideal. Some growers in cold climates bury their Sarracenia and Dionaea bogs in mulch for winter. They don't necessarily all survive the experience.
With plants like Nepenthes which largely originate from equatorial regions, there is no dormancy in the same sense as for temperate plants and I very much doubt that you would get away with switching the lights off.
