If you are aiming at a collection of small leafed Utricularia, I would advise against introducing the typical form of U. bisquamata or for that matter U. subulata. Seed from either of these plants will contaminate your other cultures and effectively destroy the collection.

This isn't the customer service for California Carnivores, why complain here? Priority Mail USPS can take five days or more depending on the point-to-point shipping. And even if a tracking number is generated and entered into the system that doesn't mean it was picked up by the USPS on that day.
When cultivating plants a great deal of patience is involved.

So once again what does the ICPS have to do with California Carnivores' or the USPS customer service?
If you have a complaint with California Carnivores, take it up with them.
If you have a complaint about the delivery time, take it up with the carrier (USPS).

Well, keep in mind, with USPS 2-3 day priority mail, that is 2-3 business days. Technically this is really only day 2. I do understand your frustration though. I have been waiting almost a week for a nepenthes order to ship out. Although, their reason for holding off shipping in my case is that they have had triple digit temperatures, and this is a highlander. Personally, I am glad they are waiting. Don't want a dead nepenthes. Back to CC though, if I were you, I would write a nice, objective, but honest email/letter to Peter and let him know whats going on and what you have experienced. I strongly suspect that your experience has really been a weird fluke, usually CC is pretty good about getting stuff out in a timely fashion. (They sure put a few other retailers to shame- no names shall be mentioned, the vendor I am waiting on is not the one I have in mind btw) Still, that can be frustrating. Especially when a place like CC asks for a $5.00 packaging fee

By the way, did you get a tracking number? You can usually look that up- of course I have to chuckle a bit about that since USPSs tracking system is awful, I have a VFT which is supposedly still in the Oregon sorting facility and has been there since yesterday. I fully anticipate it will be here tomorrow One order I recently placed reported having left the facility (on the East coast) all the way till it got here in CA- no updates until the day it arrived. Then it said "out for delivery" for about 6 hours after they dropped it off. Silly post office!

Especially when a place like CC asks for a $5.00 packaging fee I think my worst experience was ordering some plants in april, being told until june that they would be shipping this week, then told they couldn't ship because of heat (understandable) till sept, then not getting my emails returned to oct, then being told until mid November that they would be shipping out this week. In mid November I got some low lands that were much smaller than advertised (take into account that this was 8 months after I originally ordered them, and the ampullaria clone was advertised at 8 inches, the one I received was maybe 4, lt to lt), and rather poorly established in their media I think after that I told the guy i was going to drag his face across some hot, salty, glass, if we ever crossed paths and we haven't done business since....
