Here is a photo of the new described Drosera ultramafica (former name Drosera species Mantalingajan). Sown in autumn 2007 the plants start now flowering for the first time. The diameter of the largest plant is now 9 cm

Fantastic plant Siggi. Do you use Osmocote for Drosera as well? All the best, François.

Hey François, no Osmocote for most Drosera and not for D. ultramafica. The best for Drosera is from my experience feeding fruit flies or crushed fish food flakes (especially for small plants). But I experimented with small amounts Osmocote for some tuberous Drosera which seems to work nicely. During the dry season I keep the pots bone dry, therefore annoying moss and algae - which always appear when fertilizer is added - die back totaly after the growing season and do that way not become a problem.

Great plant. Glad to see this one is gettin' around in cultivation! Reminds me of D. spatulata 'Tamlin'...just much more elongated/shorter petioles.
