Hi, as you may know i was (together with three other GFP-members) at the type location of Drosera slackii in Hermanus last year. We went there together with Frank Woodvine. Over the last years a small path has been trampled down directly leading through a part of that location. Frank told us, that he was afraid, that the plants get trampled down and that he would like to build up a small boardwalk to protect them if the money for this project would be available. Being back in germany we came up with the idea of supporting this project with some money from the GFP. A little later we transfered the money. Yesterday i got the news, that the boardwalk has now been finished! The attached picture shows the finished boardwalk with Frank Woodvine. The small red plants on the right hand side are Drosera slackii. The picture has not been taken by msyself or Frank, it is from Christoph Simon who has been there two weeks ago. Thanks, Christoph for that! My first report about Drosera slackii with pictures from Hermanus can be found here: icps.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=africa&action=display&thread=3493regards, Christian
