Recent days I checked some automatic R.O.water machines in my city, because I heard people said that the R.O.water machine provides good quality water (with less 10 ppm) with very low price (20-30cent per Gallon). Unfortunately, in my city the R.O.water machines (two brand: Glacier and another brand I cannot remember) only provides water with about 40ppm. So, the question is, can I use this kind of water to grow sarr, vft, sundew, and utri (I know neps are OK)? Which one is the most insensitive to water with higher ppm? And which one is the most sensitive? Thanks.

A TDS reading of 50ppm or lower is usually considered to be the ideal. Sometimes 100ppm is quoted and that is probably a good figure to consider as a maximum.

Thanks, Aidan. So I can save lots of money ;D A TDS reading of 50ppm or lower is usually considered to be the ideal. Sometimes 100ppm is quoted and that is probably a good figure to consider as a maximum.
