Lately people have not been observing the suggested images sizes in posts (see forum rule #9):
Large sized images throw off the message formatting and make postings difficult to read. Use the most recent posts feature to see what I mean.

I fully concur. I will send a PM to the "offenders".

The problem from me has been solved-- I've deleted all of my posts, and will not (after this) be posting again. I'll confess that I did not read the suggestion (learn the definition of the word) for image sizes. But my images were posted only in threads I started (I didn't "threadcrap" any other topics) and thus were easily avoided. I received no replies in the threads or personal messages mentioning an issue about the image sizes, only "several" people reporting it directly to the moderator (as per a private message from the moderator.) I conciser this both petty and cowardly.
You no longer have need to worry about seeing large images in my threads-- you no longer need worry about seeing threads from me again. You may want to conciser that there may be a reason why this forum has such low traffic. Thanks go to members who were polite to me during my short stay.

Bob Ziemer found the code to automatically resize overly large images in postings. It has been installed and works.
Enjoy!

Nice feature. Now I can remember to forget to remember changing my photobucket default size when I upload images to post here. Or something like that...

I just realized I have technically been breaking the rules all this time because I crop my photos to approx 600x800. 750 x 750 pixels is not a strict limitation but a suggested maximum size suited to the capabilities of most monitors. 600 x 800 is close enough.

Does this rule on image sizing pertain only to images uploaded directly into a post, or to all images, included those "hot linked" to? My blog photos are always processed to 1024 X *, so people can click on the default image to view a larger version. I have no intention of revising my workflow as it pertains to my blog, in order to conform to the sizing rule here, so if that is a problem, I will refrain from hot linking to my images on other services. A definitive answer, please?

Images posted direct to the site Paul.
However, since image resizing is now automatic this whole discussion is somewhat moot.
