Hi all. There are some pictures taken on Pinguicula medusina site near to Laguna Encantada in Mexico (Oaxaca state). Plants grow on pure, partly eroded gypsum on small steep walls or steeper parts of that hills.... View on part of the site... Small gypsum outcrops covered with plants... Closer view on one of the outcrops of gypsum... ...and now some pictures of plants - you can see pure gypsum soil everytime, very often grow p. medusina plants together with Selaginella sp. P. medusina plantlets.... P. medusina in flower

Great pictures. The habitat looks really dry. Thanks for sharing. At that year period was it very dry...most of water originated from difference between daily and night temperatures, but when it rains, gypsum can absorb interesting amout of water for some time (not many time during the year I think...)
