Not sure what this proves? Sarracenia is affected detrimentally by cadmium, but I'm sure there are plenty of other metals that have the same effect!
And how many insects are contaminated with cadmium in the wild?

Cadium is Under-ZINC in The Periodic-Table &-Acts-like Calcium &-Is Accumulated by-Potatoes Grown-On Cadium-Rich Phosphate-Soils.
ZINC-Is 'Unusal' Among The Normal Trace-Elements-of Plants in-The-Fact that It's-'Salts' R-All Rhoughly An Order-of-Magnitude More-Soluble than Any-Other-Trace-Element ... so It-Has The-'Potential' to-Leach-OUT &-Accumulate Ten-Fold to-Anything-Else in-The-Vercinity. Something to Keep-in-Mind & think-about While-Contemplating 'Gley'-Podzolic Coastal-Plain Soils, in-General, "I"-Would Suggest.
It-Also Has-R Stimulatory-Effect on Cyanobacteria When-Applied at About 1/10th of Their Magnesium-Requirement.
Zinc, Magnesium & Strontium Appear-to-Be R-Good Substitute or-Replacement for Calcium in The Envirnonment ... All-of-Which Can-be Seen to-Be Acquired Indirectly from-Seawater, Per-se.
