Watch carefully I was able to catch quite a bit by putting some black plastic under the flower while using the tuning fork. I believe there was a slight static charge on the plastic which seemed to help attract the freed pollen. Av

Hey Av, Excellent information! Thanks for sharing that with us. Is that H. heterodoxa x minor you're working with or H. hetero x nutans? Great color. Happy Growing, Brian.

Hello Av, Well, I don't think we've really got a good handle on Heliamphora yet. The experts are still figuring it out. But its good to see H. neblinae was elevated to a species rank. I could never see it as part of H. tatei. Great video, man! Now I know what to do

Yes, excellent video. I was kind of curious how to apply the tuning fork to the flower after reading "The Savage Garden". After seeing this video, now I totally get it!

I have always taken the Don Schnell "take no prisoners" approach by physically removing and rupturing the anthers before applying them to the stigma.
I will have to try the tuning fork method soon . . .

Wonderful information ! This is what I haven't think about it...In fact, What i think that is is quite tough to handle Heliamphora. It demands very trained person.
