Greetings, I have been approached by my local orchid society to give a talk on carnivorous plants. I have a few pictures from my collection and some in habitat from Southern Ontario; including some nice close-ups of drosera linearis while I was up to my arse in muck (did THAT ever stink - ever driven home in your underwear ) I am wondering if I could solicit some good pictures or video clips of plants either in collections or in habitat (especially those that might emphasize a plant's beauty, uniqueness, or size) via email. I am also looking for any pictures or clips that I could get that would show a before and after shot detailing habitat destruction (eg. a field full of sarracenia morphing into a wal-mart with a large parking lot). I would promise to only use them in this talk. I know that there are many pictures on the internet, but I have a problem with taking and using them without the authors permission. I have this thing called a conscience that won't let me do that. If anyone could help me out (I need to have this ready by October 26), I would appreciate it very much. Please email me if you can help at rhillier@swconnection.com Thanks in advance, Rick Hillier

Hi Rick, I have an extensive photo library of whatever CP species you'd like to talk about, with many 'in situ' Also, there's videos of the ICPS Conservational efforts as well on the ICPS homepage. Also, BobZ's photofinder is awesome, but you need to ask him first if you'd like to borrow some. I have no problem helping out, for the sake of spreading the public's knowledge on CP and their endangered habitats! Email me with your photo requests if you wish, Brian Barnes, ICPS Director of Conservation.
