Hi I was wondering if there was an aquatic species that dousn't need a whole lot of light that would grow with some lowland neps/

They all seem to want light in my experience. Otherwise the algae catches up to them and they die...

Actually, U. Gibba would be a good choice. The plant grows anywhere and is pretty beautiful too. Grow it in a small glass jar.

Actually, U. Gibba would be a good choice. The plant grows anywhere and is pretty beautiful too. Grow it in a small glass jar. Generally... even gibba wants light like the daylight outside. In a lowland tank, the heat will make the gibba grow faster, but the algae will grow even faster. Its easier for algae to take over the plant even when its compact in a jar.

Gibba is a somewhat good windowsill plant though. But nothing beats the light outside.
The stolons are about 2 or 3 times thicker outside than in.
