G'day everyone,
My name is John, living in Canberra, Australia...
I'm very new to all this, i have kept three flytraps and three pitchers for the last year which were mostly presents from various people who knew i liked strange plants.
I knew basically nothing about the plants nor how to grow them, and have done a little reading and web surfing over the past year which has now got me hooked on the little buggers!
A recent move to a new home is looking like offering more space, time and better living conditions for the plants, so fingers crossed there will be more added to the little collection very shortly
Hope to learn a lot from you all here, nice to have met you all!
John

Hi John, We even have a few New Zealander's too . I think most CPers love all sorts of unusual plants as well. Welcome

Hi,
I am new to the CP World. I live in Southern Illinois. People in my area think I am kind of strange having an obsession with these plants. I started out as a kid buying VFT Plants and would end up killing them. But after reading some books, Growing Carnivorous Plants by Barry Rice, Savage Garden by Peter Amato. I learned a few tricks to keeping them alive.
I have 5 VFT Plants. Three started out as one. I was repotting and the plants split into 3 plants. All of them are doing well. One Red Dragon VFT, I just got. Gorgeous Plant. Two Lance Leaf Sundews, which I have given away several plants that have sprung up from the adult plants. Three Northern Purple Pitcher Plants. Two Butterwort Plants. Two Sweet Pitcher Plants, I divided and made two out of one. Well Enough for now. RC
