I just moved to Sacramento and plan to get into growing again. Before Sacramento, I was in Bellingham where there are some great sundew logs floating on ponds up in the hills. On the way down to CA through OR, had the opportunity to see the Darlingtonia bog near Florence - I highly recommend it. When I was in college and grad school, my CP collections got a little out of control and all of my plants were donated to the university greenhouse before I went into the Peace Corps. I look forward to growing again now that I'm back!

Welcome! By now, you've undoubtedly experienced our warmer weather here in northern CA. Tomorrow's forcast is a high of 102 - Ouch! That'll start changing as we progress into fall, however, you won't have to deal with more extreme cold of WA over winter;-) FYI, a "heads up" on upcoming local events in September: Sacramento Bromeliad and Carnivorous Plant Society meeting Wednesday September 19th, 7:30 PM Garden Arts Center PROGRAM: Florida Native Bromeliads 3330 McKinley blvd, Sacramento, CA www.bsi.org/webpages/sacramento.htmlBAY AREA CARNIVOROUS PLANT SOCIETIES ANNUAL SHOW AND SALE: The date and location for the Bay Area Carnivorous Plant Societies show and sale is Saturday September 22nd, 12 - 4PM at Saint AnneĀ¹s Church, 850 Judah St. in San Francisco. This is the big show of the year. Information at www.bacps.org/nextmtg.html I plan to attend both. Well worth attending for seeing/buying CP's and interacting with other CP enthusiasts. I'll try and post to the "Meetings" section closer to these event's. Agar
