Aloha,
So, for the winter, i put my tray of P. Primuliflora in a south window. I live up in MA, and so i figured in a cool window and with the natural decreased sunlight, that would be enough of a dormancy for this very southern species. Anyway, i discovered today that several of the large ones are going to bloom. Is this okay? Or is this a key indicator that i've done something dreadfully wrong? In either case, what should i do for my next step? Clip the flowers or let them grow?
Thanks for the input! Cj

CJ,
I would let your Pinguicula bloom. P. primuliflora is one of the easier species in culture. Even I can grow and flower it, and that is something no other Pinguicula species or hybrid does regularly for me. I have gotten seed from this species in every season and it has not done damage to my plants. Enjoy it!
Take care, Steven Stewart
