What kind of light does it get in the terrarium? There possibly isn't enough or it's too far away from the plant. Remember you're trying to replicate the sun in there!

Remember, Venus flytraps are plants that can be carnivorous, more than they are carnivorous plants. Don't worry about feeding your plant until it settles in and gets some strong traps, that only good bright light will provide. I live in Florida and I grow my plants on a south facing window sill indoors. Outside in a screened in porch would be much better! A hungry flytrap is a healthy flytrap! Like Bob said, read Barry's information and then adjust it to your situation.
Take care, Steven Stewart

Four inches away from the bulb? Is that a bit close?

Nope, 4 inches is about perfect. 6 inches is about as far away as you'd want to go.

What's the wattage on the florescent tube? I would recommend at least 40w for indoor growing. The other issue you will have if you keep it indoors will be it's requirement for winter dormancy.
