My name is Rob Cantley. I grow Nepenthes, lots of them but not a lot else. Have been fascinated with Neps since I first saw them in the wild in 1979, where I started a tiny business called 'Isra Exotics' propagating them for export out of my back yard. That was in Brunei, Borneo, - hence the moniker. Now I live in Sri Lanka with Diana, 4 dogs, 2 cats and in 1997 have founded and now manage Borneo Exotics www.borneoexotics.com with a lot of help from about 50 great staff. Hobbies are running, and beer, not necessarily in that order. Currently the Grand Master of the Colombo Hash House Harriers which is a fun drinking club with a running problem. In my other lives I have been a Physicist (a mediocre one), Electonics Engineer (a bit better) and Police Inspector in Hong Kong (most fun!). I spend way more time than is healthy lurking on forums like this one!

Hello Rob . Glad to have you here! Your experience with tropical pitcher plants will be much appreciated. I had the chance to buy some neps from you back at the EEE last year and i'm delighted with the plants. Police inspector, physicist, engineer... ? Amazing! However, i hope you will stuck with your last job ;D! Friendly, François.

Rob Greetings, I still remember painting the benches for Isra Exotics. I thought you would have been to old for the pace in the harriers. Cheers Phill

'I thought you would have been to old for the pace in the harriers.'Have you seen this man down a pint Phill? There's nothing wrong with his pace, I can't keep up, but it doesn't stop me trying!! Cheers Rob nice to see you here. Vic

Welcome Rob,
What ever happened to the lizard living in your eaves? Anything new and exciting being released this year? I have to agree with Phill - we are the same age and I just cannot drink like I used to, the running is not too bad (as long as I run before I drink). Stay happy and healthy.
Cheers Pete
