I'm looking to put a few woolly sundews in a small terrarium and I know they need warm temps and high amounts of light. I came across a Mini-Aqualight (measures 9"x5"x2") and has two 9 watt 6700 Kelvin full-spectrum bulbs. It would go on top of a 5 or 10 gallon tank with a glass canopy. Do you think this would be enough light???

Hi! I think you'll need more light for the mentioned species, unless you want extoliated plants... The Petiolaris group LOVES intense light and hot temps. I've been growing these for quite a while in near-direct sun here in Fl. with 95F temps. They thrive in such conditions... Happy Growing, Brian.

If only I had those favorable conditions. Any other inexpensive suggestions for artificial lighting in a small terrarium??

Hi! Yes, get the plants as close to the light as you can, even if you have to raise the grow media level higher or put pots on small stands inside the terrarium...Also, keep as warm as possible. Then, you'll get this! The first one is a "sun-shot" Happy Growing and good luck, Brian.
