Carnivorous Plants of Australia
Poster Series
Poster Series
To commemorate the 2008 International Carnivorous Plant Conference being held in Sydney, Australia, a limited edition series of 3 posters has been released. Local CP enthusiasts, Phill Mann, Greg Bourke and Richard Nunn have collated many fine images from field trips to produce these high quality works that depict the diversity of Australian CPs, Drosera flowers and Cephalotus. Printed in limited numbers on high quality glossy stock (50 x 75cm), these posters are a must for any CP enthusiast.
Australia has one of the greatest concentration and diversity of CPs on the planet. This poster illustrates that diversity with a cross section of the many forms of Drosera, Utricularia, Byblis, Nepenthes, Aldrovanda and Cephalotus, captured in beautiful colour images in their natural environment.
Poster 2 – The Albany Pitcher Plant, Cephalotus follicularis
Endemic to the South West tip of Western Australia, this amazing plant is a spectacle to behold in the field. Pitchers form in many different shapes, sizes and colour variations, depending on their location and individual micro climate.
Poster 3 - Sundew flowers (Drosera sp)
Australia is without doubt the global hot spot for Drosera. With over 100 species ranging from tuberous, pygmy, fork leaved, tropical and others, the corresponding floral display is amazing and diverse. This poster represents the beauty of shape and colour variation of just a small sample of this incredible genus.
