I live with a particularly active cat (more accurately, she kindly allows me to live here) who has a penchant for gnawing on my favorite plants. So the question is raised: How do you control your feline?
Is this an indication that she desires more green in her diet or does she know which plants I care for more than her? If I provided other greens (cat grass, cat mint) for her on the ground, would that only encourage her to munch on my Stylidium debile more?
For a while there, she was selectively eating the inflorescences of my Stylidium debile, but she's also gone after my Drosera binata and other plants. A greenhouse would solve all of this, but the windowsill will have to do.
So, any advice on the biggest indoor pest I've ever had?

I would use catnip or cat mint as a deterant... She should then seek it out for her "greens fix" Happy Growing, Brian.

kitkor,
You probably put the plants on your cats favorite windowsill! In her mind, for her. If you put some catnip or other edible cat plant on an alternate favorite windowsill maybe you can change her behavior.
Take care, Steven Stewart

I have the same issue, my 3 felines seen to like the flowers of my D. Capensis and tropical Ping a whole lot. Recently they have taken a liking to removing all the dew from said Sundew.
I just lock them out of my room, which usually solves the problem.
