Hi all I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions or ideas on a sealer or paint that I could use to minimise the risk of minerals and chemicals leaching out of materials?
I'm thinking about making some odd shaped dish/bowl things for some utrics out of a polymer clay. (Think of a cross between fimo and plasticene, its soft, but can be baked and sets into a non-toxic plastic)
Though sculpey claims to be non-toxic I have a sneaking suspicion this doesn't mean that it won't leach chemicals out into the soil unless I coat it in a varnish or something? any suggestions?

Thanks for that, I was wondering about using a pond sealer. However I was curious whether like some other things it isn't t suitable for what I had in mind.
(Such as epoxy putty for use in fishtanks - it's fine, till you put too much in in one go!)
Stay tuned for any updates if I make anything I'm happy with haha!

Read the label to see if it's toxic?
