Among my carnivores there is a sort of green "mould" on the soil....on a few of my carnivores sphagnum grows on this "mould". Is this mould or something else? and if mould what can be done to prevent it and take it away from existing carnivores?

A photo would help, but I'd guess that rather than mould it is more likely to be algae, other mosses, liverworts or all three. Learn to live with it or scrape off the surface and top-dress the pots with fresh media.

I have noticed that "blue-green algae" actually a Cyanobacteria tends to grow on soils that I use. It is possible that is the organism you are seeing. If it gets too abundant it can cause problems, in moderation it can be beneficial to your plants. Try doing a Google search and see if you find something that helps you I.D. it.
As Aidan pointed out a picture would help.
Take care, Steven Stewart
