I have been told that moss peat and sand works well with a 1:1 media. Does anyone know a reliable seller who i would be able to buy some from???

Works well for what?
Sphagnum moss peat and lime-free horticultural sand is available in most garden centres.

Just to add on to that: is there a problem if the bag says " enriched with Miracle-Gro plant food"?? All garden centers around here (chicago) are still closed for the winter but I need to repot my Dionaea and my Sarracenia while they are still dormant. Both bags of Perlite and Sphagnum Peat Moss say "enriched with...." Is this safe to use?

Yes, there's a big problem - it will kill your plants.
Use only unadulterated Sphagnum moss peat.
The same is true of Perlite.

I just throwing this out there, but would a seed starting mix sold at home centers work? They (supposedly) don't have any fertilizer and are a mix of peat moss, perlite, and a wetting agent (?).

In theory yes, but it depends upon what the wetting agent is.

You don't have to.
It's better to wait until you find the correct substrate than to pot them into fertilizer-enriched peat/perlite while they are dormant.
