Seed Germination and Bottom Heat

Does anyone use bottom heat in seed germination? I've been told that it can be useful for Nepenthes and was wondering if it may be helpful for other genera as well.

I've used it for Sarracenia, Drosera, and Pinguicula. I like to get the soil temps up to around 80F. I've never attempted to germinate Nepenthes from seed so I can't answer that question.
