so beautiful... i dream to live where sarracenia surrounds me.. lol.. so difficult here in Thailand. most of my sarracenias r growing well now. 3 of them died.. I don't know why.? wish i could have 4 seasons here .. so in love with sarracenia but really worried about dormancy in tropical weather. i did 2 month dormancy for one of my sarracenia in fridge.. after i let it out from fridge, it seemed to go well, started to shoot a flower but then it stopped and slowly died. your bogs r really stunning! now i have one bog, i will make more like yours.

Sounds to me like the shock of being in the fridge and then going to a tropical climate may have proved too much. You may want to consider plants that are more in tune to your climate like Nepethes. If you would like to try sarracenia again, maybe some of the more southerly hardy species like sarracenia minor maybe a better choice.
Best of luck!

Collective picture of some of my bogs. The new location is really bringing out their color:

Really nice bogs Brokken! The sarra that died after dormancy. i'm not sure if because i put it rightaway into water tray after fridge.. that made plant too wet and get rot? ummm now i just took another sarra out from cold dormancy and just a little water jsut keep it damp. and i will wait til it flower and start to shoot new leaf. i hope it works well!

Those are about the best looking, most photogenic, colorful plants I've seen. Well done!

If you don't mind my asking, what happened to the 'AS'? Only saw a pic of the flower, do you have any of pitchers?
Happy Growing! Aslan

The AS was very slow in coming out of dormancy. Though it was the first to show a flower bud, it subsequently showed retarded growth. I finally took it out of the bog that I had dedicated to it and planted it in another one of my bogs where it seems to have finally 'woken up'. Growth however has been weak and slow and it doesn't even look like Adrian Slack. I'm hoping that now that conditions are more optimal, I will see better pitchers - maybe in the fall - if the leuco controls that aspect of the plant. Here's a picture of one of the pitchers right now:

Sometimes I really wish I lived around San Jose! Those are some great colors Brokken! I said it before and I'll say it again! I've never seen a venosa with that BIG of a hood! Keep up the great work

The most spectacular Sarracenia flower ever! Actually this is the flower of Disa uniflora growing alongside my sarras in one of the bogs. This is the only (intended) non-CP plant growing in my terrariums.

During the last heat wave, some pitchers grew into bizarre twisted shapes. None more so than this flava pitcher:
