For some reason this request never made it to the CPListServe, problem with my header or something- Subject: Resource Videos and DVDs I have the Time Life Video "Death Trap" as well as the DVD "The Carnivorous Syndrome in 3D". Nice quality audio visual tools that I have used with kids. What other videos and DVDs are out there and available to be used with elementary school children? Also too, what books would the ListServe subscribers recommend for lower elementary school children? Preferably not a publication that is out of print. I am familiar with the following- Elizabite, by H.A. Rey (available with an audio cassette which is great) www.christianbook.com/Christian/Boo...1&p=1010575 Man-Eating Plants, by Nathan Aaseng Plants That Bite Back, by Richard Platt Fly Traps!: Plants That Bite Back, by By Martin Jenkins and David Parkins Carnivorous Plants, by Cynthia Overbeck Plants of Prey, by Densey Clyne Any other suggestions for child appropriate publications much appreciated.

Probably the words "videos" and "DVDs" in the subject line and the inclusion of urls in the body triggered a spam alert. Anyway: Judging from "Snap Tentacles and Runway Lights" Irmgard and Siegfried Hartmeyer's "Hunting Veggies" series would be child appropriate. "Snap Tentacles" was certainly entertaining and well paced that I think it would keep the attention of most children. www.hartmeyer.de/DVD_Uebersicht_GB.htm

How would I be able to get my hands on those to borrow before purchasing? I need to know if they would work with what I've got lined up. If they meet my needs (I suspect at least one will), I'd like to purchase them for a library. Quick search tells me they aren't available in any local library. 'Snap Tentacles" sounds awesome but so does 'Runway Lights'.

What's a bit torrent client and where do I buy one? I have WinXP Pro if that matters and I do have hi-speed.
How would I initiate contact with the individual who created the videos to be able to ask permission to create a Video/CD/DVD from their work to be used in children's programming as well as to have on hand for loan at a library?

The BitTorrent client recommended: utorrent.com/I would either email or PM Siegfried Hartmeyer for licensing/copyright issues. I asked him if it would be ok to put on disc "Snap Tentacles and Runway Lights" for the LACPS library or for a group viewing. Basically he said it was ok to put on disc and give out copies as long as no money was asked.

I'm in trouble. I just downloaded it and am installing it and it is asking me what my connection type is. There is a big dropdown menu. Where do I find what my connection speed is?
download speed is 1755Kb/s upload speed is 418Kb/s latency is 26ms
Any idea based on the above what I should select from the drop down menu? I'm sorry but I don't know him. Would you please contact him on my behalf and ask him for permission for me to be given his e-mail or PM address.
It's installed. I picked what looked most appropriate from the drop down menu. Now what do I do from here? Really sorry however I am not computer literate at all. Another little issue is that I don't know how to burn a CD or DVD for that matter.

I have now had the opportunity to view "Snap Tentacles and Runway Lights"! Whoa! Great video, I sat through it here in front of my monitor with my nose about 12" away completely oblivious to anything going on around me. Totally captivating. Excellent suggestion Not a Number!
How do I get to where "Hunting Veggies Cocktail" and "Beautiful And Hungry Part 1 + 2" can be downloaded?
