when did i say that when i see this for myself... i will believe i never criticized you for having easier plants. im criticizing the fact that you sart with something very easy...teh njump to something hard. and now you want to go harder? your missing the whole middle step. its not A B Z...its A B C.....Y Z. i watched. taught myself. tweaked my growing conditions and waited a whole YEAR to get N. lowii. im happy i did because i could have never provided for it back then. it has rewarded me with a very nice pitcher Alex

The reason we are assuming you to be a beginner is because of the NATURE of your posts. You just say ur sibuyanensis is dying and give us media details. Without any pics...anything...we can't imagine how your plants look. Then you make inquiries about like 4 plants for the same info that can be found at a lot of knowledgeable websites like nepenthes university, nepenthes around the house and so on. That is why we assumed you are a newcomer and we wanted to HELP. If you want to go on a vertical climb for the very start (again based on your questions), go ahead.... congratulations if you succeed. its not impossible...but its really frustrating and difficult. That is what we are trying to make you aware of. Excuse us for trying to help.
The only reason is we don't want you to un-necessarily kill a plant. its a living being and its a responsibility.
Enjoy!

Let him do what he wants to and if he fails, he'll learn from that. There's no point arguing with each other about this.
Buy whatever you want, and experiment if you can afford to do that with plants like N. inermis. While plants are living, these particular plants are also all just clones and one of the virtues of tissue culture is a theoretically limitless, renewable supply.

yes, i understand. but I wouldn't get a plant (just my rajah) if i didn't know its needs... Anyway, I don't want to discuss this topic anymore.
i wouldn't get a plant if I didn't know what it was ( like my rajah) especially if it is in a tropical house. Anyway, I don't to discuss this topic anymore please.

Knowing the needs of something is quite different from actually being able to take care of it. I've always wanted a N. inermis. Anyways... Now, after 2 years of growing nepenthes and making a number of mistakes, I am finally considering getting the N. inermis. I've contemplated methods of growing N. villosa (I think I found a very nice humidifying and cooling solution) but I don't dare get one because I doubt it would work.
The beginning of this thread was helpful, so thanks to those who contributed.
