Greetings all,
I have searched this site prior to asking these questions, yet I have yet to find the specific (or general) information for which I am desperate to find authoritative answers. If these questions have already been answered, I apologize in advance...
I have a small (10 gallon) aquarium that I will be using as a primarily CP terrarium. I have engineered this setup specifically for the use of LED lighting.
I have seen many sites say that 6700K illumination is almost a necessity, possibly using other spectrum (around 4000K I believe). I thought I found the LED lights that I needed. I was under the impression that they were 6700K, although it turns out that they are only 6250K.
I do not know the scientific names of all the plants that I'm trying to grow as I am new to this, however the common names that I plan to grow are a variety of flytraps, pitcher plants, and certain drosera varieties. What are the thoughts on the lighting needs for these varieties of plants in a terrarium? Is 6250K sufficient or do I need to go with the 6700K (or other)? Also, are other spectrums recommend or required?
I don't want my plants to just hang-on, rather I want them to thrive! I have the soil, drainage and aeration issues engineered and hopefully resolved.
Thank you, DRBeck
