G'day guys,
I was just wondering what kind of light I should be giving my new Nep. Raff. x Amp.?
I have read in a few places now that they only like a few hours of direct sunlight a day and thought i would ask here for verification...
This is my first attempt at growing a Nep, so I'm trying to get it as right as I can! Don't want to burn the poor thing!
Thanks in advance,
John

The amount of light you can give a nepenthes immediately after purchasing it depends on how much light it was given by the previous grower.
Without knowing what light intensity it was growing under previously, I would start off with a more shaded condition and work your way up to brighter light. You can easily scorch the leaves of any Nepenthes by placing it in much higher light levels than it was used to growing in, and this is even true of the species that love very bright lighting. So shade it to start off, and then work your way up to brighter light.
