Hi yall, I just recently got a really lovely little Hamata from josh at predatory plants- great looking plant, and the folks at predatory plants were kind enough to meet me near my (old) house to drop it off.
The trouble began yesterday when I moved into my new house: a really unnecessary miscommunication ended up in all my plants (all of them!) being left in the sun for half a day- and I made a point to mention more than once that really the baby Hamata is the only guy that's both delicate and expensive!
Everything was situated in sphagnum in shallow trays, the weather was chilly around 50 degrees, but they were in the direct California sun for a few hours. Most plants look good: Mexican pings didn't bat an eye, even the heliamphora het x minor hasn't shown any stress (yet)- and so far the highland nepenthes look pretty okay- but the lil Hamata is very sad looking- pitchers shriveled from the lids, but the bodies are still firm, leaves are about half brown- I guess I just wanted to hear any success stories that could indicate my chances for resuscitating my lil guy! Thanks in advance yall -tom

it should recover if you give it the correct conditions now, I have brought Hamatas back from the brink of death a few times

Alright, it's been a solid month and the lil guy looks almost exactly the same..leaves mostly brown but with some green still clinging on, particularly where they connect to the stem. My hope is that if it's been stable this long it must be making a recovery.. I'm hoping the next leaf (still wrapped up in the current brown one) is healthy and happy and just biding his time. Meanwhile, I'm wondering if it's safe to fertilize? I know the general rule is only fertilize healthy plants- same for coffee treatment or egg water? Any insight is welcome! Thanks
