So i just got a nepenthis red dragon from a local store and am sooo happy . This will be my first Nepenthis. I currently have a Leuciophyla and an Oreo., and one venus fly trap. In my terrarium thanks to one of the forum members I also have three sticky plants, and jefforever gave me some plants also. I just have some question about the care. How should I care for it. Does it need a terrarium or can i grow it in the house out of one in a room by some glass doors. Is direct sunlight needed, and what temperatures should it be in. Does it need misting, if so how many times a day. This is The glass door it is by.... for now This is my precious... sooo cool In advance thankyou for all of the help

one thing i have learned from killing mine is they like to stay damp but not wet because mold can grow and kill the plant also alot of sun helps but try and keep down the heat maybe in the 80's is good however where i live thetemp gets to be 105 in the day so 80 is hard to achieve so if this is your problem you my want to leave them in the sun during the morning and afternoon but in the midday when its really hot you may want to put it in a cooler place

Keep down the heat? This is a lowland x lowland cross. Why on earth would you do that? Thorelii crosses love heat...even thorelii x aristo. The hotter the better I'd say

Direct sunlight is required. I find that mine grow well with 6 hours of direct sunlight and bright ambient light the rest of the day. It will enjoy being in high humidity. For watering, keep it moist but not wet, never stand it in water. Doing this will depend on what it is planted in, so experiment and see what works. It should never dry out.
