Hi,
I don't grow this hybrid, but do grow the parents, and have rooted both of them with ease. Therefore, given that hybrids are generally pretty vigorous, it seems reasonable to postulate that rooting this cross should not be too difficult.
I recommend the use of a rooting gel, which seems to increase the likelihood of success, in my experience. Also, be sure to provide a long photoperiod, if possible.
Good luck!

Hi neps, wanted to find out more on what you said: firstly, the longer photoperiod thing...you mean for the cuttings right? Would I be correct to say that the photosynthesis of the cutting is very important in determining the rooting success or speed of the cutting? (i.e. assuming water loss by transpiration is zero, then the brighter the light the better) Just wanted to check this out, as I was speculating about this, but havent yet tried any experiments to prove it, thought I'd get the input from an experienced grower also, do you mind giving a brief description of rooting gel and its application....it sounds like something interesting! thanks

The first time I heard of cloning gel, Peter D'Amato had mentioned 'Olivia's Rooting Gel.' There is also a 'Clonex Cloning Gel,' and probably other names. I assume that is what Jeff is referring to. Peter recommended the former: I have not heard anything on the latter.
Cheers,
Joe
