Hey again,
First off I would like to say I am new here and I have been impressed with the community so far. I do however have a few question in regards to the Drosera species. My questions are, does Drosera Brevifolia require a dormancy period? & what method is used to germinate the seeds of this Drosera? I have the same two questions in regards to D.Capillaris the typical form. The kind that is found in the Carolinas commonly found in close proximity close to the Venus Fly Trap.
So if someone knows please let me know!
Jonathan

D. brevifolia may live in the eastern coast of the US, but it has a subtropical growth form, and often acts like an annual/biennial. It will tolerate light to moderate frosts oftentimes, but seeds require no special care to germinate and the plants will grow year round. Same applies to capillaris forms. That said, brevifolia has been recently reported to experience die-back in response to dry conditions, both in cultivation and possibly in the wild, so it can act as a multi-year plant with a pseudo-dormancy in that respect.
