Fabulous! I can't imagine that beast being cramped in my terrarium, I'm glad I sent it to you!

jb, your plants look outstanding! I remember when you just got your greenhouse up and running and you had some smaller plants in there, not too long ago! I am very impressed. Your sabre is very large...mine is doing well too but not nearly the size yours is. Ludwig

Thanks for the compliments guys!! I am impressed on how the new GH is working out. Ludwig, you don;t have a female nepenthes coming into bloom do you? I am looking for a female for this truncata. According to things I am told it is a male. So I am just looking for a female now before these flowers open.
Matti I have had the truncata for a little over a year. Maybe 2 years. I am not a good record keeper as to when I acuire plants. I recieved it from Clint (justlikeapill) in a trade because it outgrew his terreium. Then is has started putting out larger pitchers alternating from HUGE pitchers to smaller (althought still large) pitchers. Then one day when i was out checking on my plants I noticed the flower spike and was estatic. I have been told that they have to be HUGE before they flower. I am not sure if this plant was a cutting or a seedling, but it is doing great here and flowering. Got a female we can pollenate with it? LOL I am looking for a female truncata, but would be open for a hybred too.

Josh gives me far too much credit I just get his plants started then eventually I always end up sending everything to him. He does the REAL growing. I got it as a young clone and I think I sent it to you about a year ago Josh? Or was it two years? I can't remember anything as you know but it really HAS made remarkable growth, easily doubling if not tripling in size. The only place i've seen a female truncata is at the ATL gardens.

Looks like I need to call ABG and see if their female truncata is flowering. If so I can send them the pollen I would love to get some species truncata seed!!!
