Hi, after visiting Meadoview, we next wanted to see cps in North Carolina. We were lucky to have one of the best guides for that state, so we did see much more than we ever expected! Thanks, Mark! I have taken so many pictures, that i will have to divide this report into three parts.... The first place we visited was a park in Wilmington. Saddly, A few weeks before we've been there, there some venusflytraps have been stolen there. It was a nice start for the day. The next place we went is a location, close to Old Dock. Many of you will know this name from your plants labels. The first thing we saw there were some Sarraenia purpurea: There are also some nice coloured S. flava growing there: Most of them seemed to be the variety cuprea. Some of them are quite hard to put into one of the Varieties. I have attached the names quite freely, so feel free to comment.... S. minor is growing there as well: And some interesting (i wouldn't say nice ) hybrids, too: We could also find some D. capillaris and D. intermedia (sorry, no good pictures) as well as U. subulata: The next thing, Mark showed to us was this little spider: Only a few meters away, there were some cps growing: www.utricularia.de/sonstiges/USA_2013/IMG_0721.jpg[/imgIt now was 12.30 already. Time was runing too fast.... So much for part one, more in the next part. regards, Christian P.S.: Part2: icps.proboards.com/thread/6500/carnivorous-plants-north-carolina-2Part3: icps.proboards.com/thread/6501/carnivorous-plants-north-carolina-3
